As you may know, it’s Sport Relief week in the UK where people take part in The Sport Relief Mile where they run a mile a mile(duh), and various other sport-related fundraising activities to raise money for charity.
So my school’s swim team planned to swim a mile, and we did! The five of us swam a total of 2.9 miles(we could’ve done more but we had a 30min time slot) and managed to raise approximately £260 thanks to our friends who got rid of their change generously sponsored us.
You can still take part in the Mile Run which officially takes place on Sunday all around the country or simply donate through the Sport Relief Website. All the money you donate will help people living really tough lives across the UK and the world’s poorest countries.
