I was having a rough day; I got turned down at the audition for being ‘too young’ after queuing out in the cold for 7 hours with my mum. To make me feel better, she suggested we go to Nando’s for dinner but I declined. But on our way back home in the London Underground, we came across a lady struggling to get her buggy down a large flight of stairs so I rushed to help. And when she thanked me over the cries of her child who obviously didn’t enjoy floating backwards in the air and gave me a genuine smile, I knew I had achieved way more than I thought I would today. And yes, with my mood lifted, I did in fact take on my mother’s offer.
